When was the last time you pampered yourself?
I’m not talking about a spa day (although they are fab). I’m talking about the moments you’ve taken in any day just to stop, unwind and reset.
We tend to think of rest and relaxation as a waste of time; let’s be honest there’s always something to do – a wash to put on or someone to feed.
Maybe we view it as selfish even.
We put it off for when we have more time (knowing, deep down, that we never really get that).
It’s one of the reasons why I’m a big advocate of small acts of self-care. Think of it as Creating Space for yourself.
They don’t have to be big things. It could be:
Washing your face.
Replying to a text message from a friend.
Spraying on a bit of perfume. It all counts.
See if you can spend a few moments today dedicated to doing something which gives you some room to breathe.
