What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful.
Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed?
I’m talking about those days when you just feel like you’re on your knees with tiredness, frustration or sadness. When you have nothing more to give.
You’ve reached your limit.
You dive for the jaffa cakes.
And you just want to hide under a duvet.
But even so, we just plod on don’t we? We keep going. We soldier on. And, eventually, our batteries run out.
I hear you.
The thing is, it’s okay to feel like this. You’re human, and, when you think how far you’ve come – and the challenges you’ve faced – you have every right to be proud of yourself, whilst accepting a sense of vulnerability. You don’t have to be perfect to deserve opportunities for rest.
Everyone has a capacity to cope, a tipping point. Anyone can reach their limits under the “right amount” of pressure. It’s what you do next that counts.
Making time for rest and relaxation is essential to recovery, to finding your way back to centre. And when you do, you’ll be so glad you did.
